If you’re at that place in life where you’re just ready to stop playing small, read on!
Chances are, if you’re reading this, you care about where you are, you’re ready to move on beyond where you’ve been, and you’re looking for a clear path to where you want to be.
This resonates with me so much because I realized over the past couple years, that I’ve just been playing small in life. What I mean is that any goal I was setting was “safe.” After all, if you play it safe, you don’t have far to fall, right?
If you play it safe, if you don’t meet your goals, maybe no one will even notice because they were small enough to get lost in a sea of forgetfulness due to their insignificance.
So I decided to take steps over that time, and one of those steps was investing in myself and my business to a place that caused me nervous excitement.
I just returned from one of those big steps. I went to Laguna Niguel, CA, and stayed at the Ritz Carleton to be in a room of 150 women entrepreneurs, 21 were speakers and 6-8 figure earners from every kind of business you could think of with a common mission to serve the Lord, the world around us, and each other!
I wanted to share 3 of the many takeaways I gained because even if you’re not in business, if you’re a woman, this will resonate with you and translates to just about every area of life! THIS is how you level up!

3 Steps to Level up in Life
1. Chase your dreams with passion for yourself and your lineage – “One of the most insidious forms of child neglect is a parent who doesn’t chase their dreams and potential.” – Ed Mylett
What dreams have you shelved and put off? As women, we have a tendency to put everyone else before ourselves, our hopes, our dreams, our ambitions, thinking we can’t be both mom/wife and ambitious woman.
If we’re looking to raise strong young women, they need to see us leading by example. The Proverbs 31 woman was industrious. She worked with her hands AND her children raised up to bless her! There’s a lesson in this for us all!
2. Always infuse yourself in a “room” with higher level thinkers – This room can be in person, on zoom, online…it’s basically wherever you give someone access to a place of influence over your life. You ARE the people you hang out with, so choose wisely.
Let’s define “higher level thinker.” This is the kind of woman who wants more for herself, for her family, for the world around her, and for you. Personal development is a core value of hers and she’s always looking for ways to leave those around her feeling better than they did when she found them.
These women only entered the place of abundant mindset and a positive look at her future because she has walked a hard road that forged her character in the fires of difficulties. There’s simply no way to be around women like this without being affected in a way that makes you also level up!
Real talk…it may be time to break up with those who are detractors and don’t see and want more for you. Those who think small will live small, and they are only comfortable being around those who are living the same. Bless them, release them, and find YOUR people!
3. Invest in yourself – What are you doing that is scary, that brings nervous excitement for what is ahead? If the answer is, “not much”, then it’s imperative that you focus on investing in your personal development (this is an area we should all be working on this side of heaven!).
What does that look like? It can be all out like my current trip to California where I infused myself in a room full of women who were big doers, givers, and servers, but it doesn’t have to be that extreme.
Podcasts, books, courses, seminars, conventions, and any opportunity to be in physical proximity to those who are FOR you, challenging you, and encouraging you to chase hard after your dreams!
I hope you feel encouraged and challenged to think bigger, believe bigger, walk in an abundant mindset, choose to infuse yourself with the right people, and chase hard after your dreams!
As always, I’d love to hear from you, and I also love when you share both my blog posts and podcasts to help me reach more women!
